Windmill Hill Tourist Lodge- was built in 1878 by well-known Green family and was previously known as "Windarra". Richard Green travelled from England in 1831 with his brother-in-law Dr. Matthias Gaunt. They took up land at Windermere on the Tamar River and built a mill and the St. Matthias Church of England.
